Funko Friday: Funko Pocket Pops

Funko are one of the biggest toy manufacturers in the world, and constantly bring out new additions to their already mahoosive collection. Their Pop! Vinyl’s have got to be my favorites. Based on Popular culture franchises, and made to look like cute little Japanese Chibli’s, there are well over 300 different characters to collect. These include cartoon characters such as Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, movie characters such as Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, along with TV Show characters, Superheroes, and Disney Princesses.

The figures, which are just under 4 inches tall, are perfect for decorating shelves with, but you can’t really show them off unless you have company over – they’re a little too bulky to carry around in your purse. But what if you need a Harley Quinn Pop to follow you around telling jokes? Or a Batman to kick some butt? Well, until recently, you would have been fresh out of luck, but fortunately for you, Funko have just revealed their new line of toys; Pocket Pop’s.

These keychains are miniature versions of the already available Pop Vinyl’s. They look exactly the same as their larger counterparts, but are only 1.5 inches tall, and hang off a key ring. Being a new line, there have only been a few characters announced as of yet. These include all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, as well as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, Daryl Dixon and Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead, and finally, Batman and Harley Quinn. If you thought the regular Pop Vinyl’s were cute – they ain’t got nothing on these guys.

The Pocket Pop’s won’t be available until November, but you can order them now from Entertainment Earth – they’re only $4.99 each.
