Five Fictional Vehicles I’d Love to Travel in

This week’s Fandom Friday looks at the fictional vehicles you can only fantasise about taking for a spin; the cars of your dreams, and the spaceships of your nightmares. Check out my top five favourite vehicles below.

Batmobile

image

I like my cars fast and indestructible, and if Batman’s in the passenger seat, well that’s even better. Batmobile, you are my dream car! I love every version I’ve ever laid my eyes on, and would gladly ride them all, but my absolute favourite has to be the Tumbler from the Dark Knight movies. It has machine guns and a rocket launcher, explosive mines and a jet engine. It’s heavily armoured, looks freaking awesome, and even transforms into a motorcycle if you need a speedier getaway.

Bumblebee

image

Who wouldn’t want to drive around in a car that can transform into a giant alien robot at any second? There is no doubt in my mind that Bumblebee would be the loveliest car around. He’s friendly, funny and would protect you from anything. You don’t even have to go through the hassle of steering the car yourself because he’ll take control for you, and do a better job at it x 100. Plus, he takes the form of a yellow Chevrolet Camaro – that is one sexy car right there.

Knight Bus

image

I’ve always liked the idea of taking a ride in the Knight Bus, ever since reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but when I started working in London it became an obsessive daydream. I cannot express how handy that triple decker bus would be. It’s super-fast, so would get me to the office in no time, and it can shrink in size to get past all that pesky traffic. It even boasts a rather fantastic array of comfy looking beds so I can take a nap on the way home.

De Lorean

image

Because.. Time Travel! Yes, you could go back in time and change your past, blah blah blah, but why would you want to see something you’ve already seen. What I’d like to do is travel to the future to see all the crazy technology before anyone has even thought it up – the flying toast and egg robot, yum! Better yet, I’d go way WAY back and see dinosaurs and Egyptians and Walt Disney. I’d discover life’s greatest mysteries. The De Lorean – my personal history book.

Mario Kart

image

I’m a fan of semi-automatic weapons as much as the next guy, but you know what’s even better – Koopa Shells. Those bad boys are lethal. Driving a Mario Kart would be the epitome of fun; power up mushrooms that let you travel at the speed of light, disposable banana peels that make your opponents fly off the track. Even better than all of that – The Rainbow Road. Who hasn’t fantasised about driving along the trippiest road in video game history?

So what fictional vehicles do you yearn for? Would any of these make your list? Let me know in the comments below.

Five Geeky Essentials For Your Comic Con Bag

San Diego Comic Con was last week, and even though I was stuck in stupid England while the masses swarmed into pop culture paradise, I have a few British Cons on the horizon to keep my mind off curling up into a sobbing ball missing SDCC.

One of the most important things about going to any Con, apart from having ALL the fun, is being as prepared as possible. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve forgotten to take something that I’m desperately needed. It doesn’t ruin your experience, because let’s face it, you’re at Comic Con, but it’s definitely a spanner in the works. So check out these geeky Con essentials. Are you prepared for Con season? What would be on your essentials list?

image

IMG_3036Harry Potter Lanyard – Lanyard’s aren’t necessary for a Con, but they make life so much easier. They can store your ticket and timetables for easy access, and if you’re ever in a situation where it is imperative that you buy something immediately, you can keep some cash in there too. I love the Harry Potter lanyards from Hot Topic – showing off the house colours in style. Just make sure you actually remember your ticket.

IMG_3037Batman Wallet – If you’re anything like me, you’ll want to buy ALL the things. It’s rare that I go to a con and spend less than £100 on various bits and bobs, so a safe but interesting place to store all my cash is important. You’ll probably be grabbing it out of your bag more than anything else, so make sure it’s easy to spot. This Batman wallet from SuperHeroStuff is my personal favourite. It may be black, but it’s large and has cute little ears; it won’t be hard to find.

IMG_3038Lightsaber Portable Charger – Keeping your phone topped up with juice is imperative. Not only can you use it to take photos of celebrities, cosplay outfits, and displays, but you can also keep up to date with social media to find out where all the free stuff is, and text friends to apologise for running off in search of Nathan Fillion. This portable charger from Think Geek is perfect. It’s modelled on a lightsaber so looks absolutely awesome, but is also small enough to fit in your pocket.

IMG_3039Mini Sharpies – One of the best things about going to Comic Con is getting to see some of your idols. Whether that’s a star from your favourite show, or the author of a comic you love, the sharpie is a necessity allowing you to quickly nab an autograph or two. I love this mini pack of four. Each has a metal loop so that you can attach it to anything; assuring one is always to hand.

IMG_3040Hello Kitty Sewing Kit – It’s not mandatory to wear cosplay to a con, but I find it always makes the experience that bit more exciting – especially when people ask to take a photo with you. It’s like you’re a celebratory, only totally not. The only problem is that most cosplay outfits are handmade and therefore incredibly delicate, so I like to carry a sewing kit around with me. This Hello Kitty kit is the cutest one I’ve even seen. It’s small as well so won’t take up too much room. Just make sure you have the right colour thread. Derr.

IMG_3086Rocket Raccoon Rucksack – Well you can’t carry all this awesome nerdy stuff around in your hands can you; you’ll need a rucksack. I love this Rocket Raccoon bag from Amazon. It’s adorable, and will double up as a last minute Rocket costume if you’ve left it too late to organise a cosplay outfit. It’s also large enough to store all your Comic Con buys. Gosh that tail is cute.

Five Kick Ass Female Aliens

As a huge Sci-Fi fan, half the television series and movies I watch contain aliens from some exotic species, so picking my five favourites has been incredibly hard. My list would most likely consist solely of characters from Star Wars if I were to do this properly, which seems slightly unimaginative, so I thought I’d mix it up a little and just go for the females – my favourite alien ladies throughout the universe.

Queen Amidala

Padme looks human, but being from Naboo she is technically an alien so I had to add her to my list. She is one of my favourite characters in the Star Wars universe because all she wants is what’s best for her people. She has dedicated her life to helping others, and tries to do so without violence; though is never afraid to get her hands dirty. One of my favourite things about her is her passion. She will not let other people tell her what to do, and follows her own instincts, allowing her to stay clear of corruption.

Diva Plavalaguna

Fifth Element is one of my all-time favourite movies, so naturally I had to include the Diva in my list. We know little about her personality from the film, but the fact that she’s willing to store the elemental stones within her body to help save the planet means she’s an incredibly compassionate being. She’s definitely one of my favourite looking aliens. Her tall blue body along with her smooth tentacles and elongated face result in an incredibly unique and gorgeous character.

Tali’Zorah

Tali is a member of the Quarian race, who were driven from their home planet by Artificial Intelligence, so has had to remain strong and tough, even though she’s a little vulnerable at times. Her role within Commander Sheppard’s team is Engineer/Technician, so she’s incredibly intelligent. She’s also very driven, level headed, and loyal to her fleet. I love her drive to prove herself. Her father is an Admiral in the military, so she’s constantly under pressure to do well, but she manages to excel off her own back.

Gamora

Gamora is completely badass. Her survival instinct mixed with the assassination training Thanos gave her as a child, has made her the deadliest woman in the galaxy. Even though she has the ability to kill whomever she wants to, she chooses to use her powers for good and protect those in need. She also radiates a naivety which makes her incredibly endearing.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka is a Jedi apprentice with a lot to prove, so is an incredibly determined Padawan. She’s confident, and trusts her instincts, but this can make her come across as stubborn and a bit reckless. She is still, however, very selfless and is constantly willing to put herself in front of danger to help others. There is no doubt that she would die to protect others.

*BONUS*

Leeloo

I’m not entirely sure what race Leeloo actually is, or whether she’s a race at all, so I didn’t include her in the list, but seen as she was created by aliens, and is one of my all-time favourite characters, I added her as a bonus. Leeloo is amazing. She is a supreme being, genetically superior to humans, a perfect specimen. She’s strong and intelligent but because she is new to the world, she’s also vulnerable and childlike. She insanely lovely and innocent, and when she sees all the violence in the world, it hurts her, but she doesn’t let her feelings get in the way of her mission to save earth.

Five Geeky Essentials For Your Gym Bag

I joined a gym at the beginning of the year to shape up for the holiday season, and have successfully managed to make the trip there around.. 4 times since January – I am the ultimate cliché. It’s not that I’m lazy, ok I am a little lazy, but I mainly put it down to the fact that there’s nothing to entice me to go. I don’t particularly care about getting into shape, and it’s rare that I have anyone to go with, so I usually just end up staying at home binge watching Netflix and eating cupcakes.

Well I decided enough was enough. I can’t keep paying for a gym membership I don’t use, but I’m no quitter either – and cancelling your gym membership sounds an awful lot like quitting to me – so I’ve devised a plan; buy awesome nerdy stuff to use at said gym. It sounds pretty materialistic, but I love having geeky things around me wherever I am, so why not the gym. Maybe that’s what my workout experience has been lacking. I can’t think of a place where I am more out of my comfort zone than at the gym, so why not take my comfort zone with me.

So without further ado, here are my geeky gym essentials for all those who need a little more fandom in their workout.

Thirst Extinguisher Water Bottle – It’s incredibly important to keep hydrated when doing any exercise, so I found the perfect water dispenser – your very own miniature Fire Extinguisher. It is the cutest water bottle I have ever seen and has a handy flip up mouth piece so you don’t need to fiddle around with bottle caps while you’re on the treadmill.

The Flash Nike Dunks – If you’re going to channel anyone during your workout, it might as well be the fastest man alive – well, fastest fictional man alive. And I guess the best way to do that is by wearing a little bit of Flash on your feet. Nike Dunks aren’t strangers to the gym, but I doubt you’ll come across any others that look as rad as these.

Don’t Panic Towel – ‘Towels are just about the most massively useful things any interstellar Hitchhiker can carry’ {Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy} so make sure you don’t leave yours at home. This particular towel was created as a tribute to author Douglas Adams, and has many purposes, though I expect mainly sweat related in this case.

Pokemon Gym Leader T-Shirt – Ok, so you’re not quite a Gym Leader yet, barely a gym attender, but if Ash can do it..! I love this t-shirt, it’s so appropriate for the gym experience. It’s also bold enough for fellow Pokemon fans to notice and give you a nod of approval, but subtle enough that the muggles out there won’t trip you up on the way to the water fountain for being such a nerd.

Baymax Earphones – There are loads of geeky headphones out there, but Baymax is my favourite, so that’s why I want his face to rest snuggly in my ear hole. The earphones also come with a little tiny Baymax to hold the wires together so it’s kind of like you have a gym buddy, only it’s not.

Harry Potter Duffle Bag – Is it bad that my Sport Idol is the Boy Who Lived? His skill on the Quidditch field is second to none, and as my favourite athlete, I feel like I need a little bit of him with me in the gym for support. This awesome duffle bag displays the Gryffindor colours, as well as Harry’s team number, 07, and various Hogwarts patches. It’s not too in your face but still looks awesome.

Five Binge-Worthy Shows

I’d definitely label myself a serial binger. Discovering Netflix was probably one of the best worst things to ever happen to me because it consumes so much of my time. I don’t think a week goes by these days that I’m not binging my way through some new series or another. Because of this, a binge ‘worthy’ show, in my opinion, needs to be one that I can watch over and over again.

Supernatural

Sam and Dean are my boys. They are both charming, funny, adorable and badass, so basically my perfect guy – well apart from when they’re possessed by self-righteous Angels or blood thirsty Demons, and even then they’re still pretty awesome. I have my favourite seasons like I’m sure everyone does, but generally this show is consistently good. It’s my go to series to watch before bed (yes, I’m one of THOSE people who can’t fall asleep without background sound).

Chuck

This show is the cutest. I have always had the biggest crush on Chuck because he tries so hard at everything, and is so lovely to everyone, yet nothing seems to work out for him, even when he has the intersect in his head. Zachary Levi is also just a little bit lovely don’t you think, so I guess that helps too. The show definitely loses its spark towards the end of the series, but it doesn’t seem to lose its charm – I still find all the jokes funny, even though I’ve heard them hundreds of times.

Trailer park Boys

TPB’s is my ultimate guilty pleasure. When I first started watching the show I prepared myself for a total car crash of a series, but it is truly brilliant – who would have thought a ‘mockumentary’ about boozy trailer trash would be so genius. The characters are what makes this show amazing, and the reason I love it so much; I can watch them all for days and never get bored of their hijinks.

10th Kingdom

Way before the Once Upon A Time series, there was the 10th Kingdom. I’m sad to say that very few people remember this show, but I will never forget it. It was probably the first series I ever binge watched in one sitting. I remember being given the boxset for a birthday and watching it over and over until I started to dream about it. It was the most magical thing I’d ever seen and I still pull it out every now and then if I need a little rest from the real world.

Spaced

I had to add one quintessentially British show to my list, and after contemplating Red Dwarf and Black Books, I settled on Spaced. I will always be a lifelong fan of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and  Edgar Wright; and this series is the reason why. They are literally the perfect team. Spaced is proof of that. I love the comedy, I love the chemistry, and I love love love how nerdy it all is. Plus, it inspired Pegg to come up with Shaun of the Dead – major bonus points there!

Five Games I’m Loving Right Now

This weeks Fandom Friday is all about video games, so I am right in my element. As an avid gamer, I usually end up starting a new game every week. Yes, I could probably do something much more efficient with my time, but there’s nothing quite like losing yourself in a beautiful virtual world. I have played hundreds of games in my lifetime, and have tonnes of favourites so it would be impossible to pick the five I like the most. Instead, this list contains my five favourites, that I am currently playing or have just finished.

Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG created by Bethesda. It’s similar to World of Warcraft, in that it’s a subscription based online game, but I personally prefer it, and think ESO is much more beautiful. The graphics are unbelievably life like, and the scenery is so imaginative that I have wanted to jump right into the PC on numerous occasions. I’m generalky not a PC gamer, preferring consoles like the Xbox One, but I made an exception for Elder Scrolls. Luckily it will be released on Xbox later this year so I can continue playing on a platform I’m more comfortable with.

The Wolf Among Us

The Wolf Among Us is an episode based game created by Telltale games. When I say episode based, I mean that it has been split into 5 chapters that get released in intervals. It’s modelled on Bill Willingham’s graphic novel series, Fables, about fairy tale characters living in a modern world, and is an interactive game, so you are tasked with moral dilemmas, where you have to make your own mind up about which route to take. The best thing about this game is that the outcomes are different depending on which route you chose, so if you play simultaneously with a friend, chances are, different things will happen in your game than theirs.

Lego Batman

I really like Lego, and I really like Batman, so playing Lego Batman was a no brainer for me. It’s not a very complex game – it is aimed at children after all, but it’s heaps of fun. You work through little chapters where you can play as every single character you can imagine, and each has their own special ability, whether that’s becoming invisible, or being incredibly strong. My favourite thing about the game however, is that you can let of steam. Almost the whole game is destructible, because it’s made of Lego, DERR!

Minecraft

Minecraft is a game where you can let your imagination run wild. It’s like a slightly simpler version of the Sims, in that you can create any building you want, only in Minecraft, there are no limits. If you want a shack, build a shack, if you want a castle, build that castle, and if you want to build Gondor from LOTR, then expect to lose a year of your life. It’s not just building though. I’ve found I have a great fondness for mining, and Sam has a thing for building strange contraptions that take him almost a day to complete then end up simply locking a door *rolls eyes*

Pokemon X and Y

My Nintendo DS is one of my prized possessions. Why? Because without it I wouldn’t be able to play Pokemon. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are the latest Pokemon games to have been released, but I’m still addicted to X and Y. If you don’t know how Pokemon works then, well, you must of had a very sad childhood. Ok, you probably didn’t, you probably had an awesome childhood exploring outdoors, but you didn’t get to play with Pikachu, so Nerr *Pokes tongue out*

Five Times I Totally Fangirled Out Of Control

This week’s Fandom Friday is all about your favourite theme park rides. As much as I love amusement parks, I haven’t been to one in a very long time so I honestly can’t remember what I like. Instead, I’m going to list the 5 times I totally fangirled; a topic I missed a couple of weeks ago. I’m generally pretty excitable, so I fangirl a lot.. but these are probably the times that I fangirled the loudest.

Meeting Bryan Lee O’Malley

I am well and truly Scott Pilgrim obsessed. I love all of the books, I love the movie, I love to cosplay as Ramona Flowers, I’m even customising my guitar with Scott Pilgrim characters. Bryan Lee O’Malley is, in my opinion, AMAZING, and I got to meet him. I GOT TO MEET HIM. He was doing a book signing for his most recent graphic novel: Seconds. When it got to my turn, I freaked out and went all wobbly, because he’s not just talented, he’s also beautiful. He hugged me, and took a photo with me, and signed my book. Then he complimented my Ramona bag, and signed that too.. with a love heart. A LOVE HEART!!

Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash

I’m a huge Kevin Smith fan, so naturally I watch Comic Book Men, and I love it. It’s about a bunch of guys who work in a comic book store called Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. The guys in it are awesome, and adorable, and super geeky. When I went to New York last year, I decided that I was going to take a day out to go visit the real life store in New Jersey. It was a bit of a trek, but so worth it, because the shop looked exactly the same as in the show, and I actually got served by one of the stars – Mike Zapcic. I couldn’t believe he was actually in there.. working. For some reason I had it in my head that it was all for camera, but there he was, taking my money and giving me comics.

Hobbiton

No holiday to New Zealand is complete without a trip to Hobbiton – not for a Lord of the Rings fan anyway. New Zealand as a whole is pretty magical, but Hobbiton was something else, it was exactly how I imagined it from the books, and exactly what it looked like in the films. Everything was so tiny – the mailboxes, the wheelbarrows, the signs. It honestly looked like the Hobbits were tucked up in their homes hiding from the tourists. When I strolled up to Bagend itself, I felt like I was heading to brunch with Bilbo. It was awesome.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

I was gutted when I found out that Harry Potter World at Universal Studios wasn’t going to officially open until I’d left Florida. I’d timed my holiday to Orlando terribly, or thought I had. Turns out there’s a thing called a soft opening, where they open the park up for the general public before it has officially opened. Being in the right place at the right time meant that I was one of the first people to set foot in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I honestly lost my sh*t. It was THE BEST feeling in the world, after thinking that I was going to miss the park by two weeks. I literally spent all the money I had left in there.. worth it.

Getting a retweet from Telltale Games

I am a twitter novice. I haven’t been tweeting for long, and I get pretty confused about the hashtag system, so when I write random crap, it’s usually just seen by me and my what.. 10 friends. Anyway, a while ago I was ridiculously in love with the episode game The Wolf Among Us. I was thinking about cosplaying as one of the main characters; Snow to a Convention in London, so created an Everyday Cosplay outfit for her. I tweeted it on my account, then a couple of hours later I get a notification that Telltale Games, the people who made Wolf Among Us, had retweeted my post. WHAATT!! This huge company not only saw my creation, but liked it enough to retweet it – and in turn, got my blog like 2000 views in one day (which is a lot for me)

Five Magical Items I Would Love To Own

Having the gift of magic would be my ultimate dream. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve wished that I could transport myself to another country, or conjure something out of thin air.

Unfortunately, as far as I’m aware, I’m as ‘Muggle’ as you get – but that doesn’t mean getting what I want is completely out of the question. There are hundreds of enchanted objects referenced in literature, so here are 5 magical items I would love to get my hands on:

1. Green Lantern’s Power Ring

The power ring is considered to be the most powerful object in the universe; its abilities are only limited by the wearer’s imagination.  If you have strong enough willpower, the ring will replicate your thoughts exactly. If that’s not enough, it also acts as a force field, allowing you to fly – It is the ultimate magical item. I’d never have to worry about forgetting anything ever again. If I forget my bikini when I go on holiday, or my glasses when I’m at work, my trusty ring would be there to cover my bare bum and make sure I can actually see what I’m typing.

2. Dorothy’s Slippers

In the original Wizard of Oz series, written by L. Frank Baum, Dorothy’s slippers have the ability to transport the wearer absolutely anywhere they desired, in the blink of an eye. I definitely need these bad boys. The amount of times I find myself late for something due to a strong urge to procrastinate, is far more than I’d care to admit. Plus, I could completely eliminate London’s pesky public transport system out of my life. No delays. No Elbows. No smelly commuters. Happy Emma.

3. Hermione’s Time Turner

I used to watch a show called Bernard’s watch when I was younger. He had a little pocket watch which allowed him to stop time completely and I thought it was brilliant. How amazing would it be if you could have a few extra hours in bed, or read a book all the way to the end without having to worry about heading to work? Hermione’s Time Turner from the Harry Potter series is like the next level of awesome. Not only can you stop time, but you can also go back to the past and do two things at once. You’d never have to miss out on anything again.

4. The Babel Fish

The Babel fish is a universal translator from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. If you put it in your ear, you have the ability to understand anything said to you, in any language. You can even understand what different species are saying. Now I’m not bilingual, in any way shape or form, but I’d love to be. I’ve tried learning Spanish more times than I can count, yet I still only know how to say ‘Dos cervezas por favor’. I don’t know whether the Babel Fish is necessarily magical, but I would love to have one.

5. Dragonballs

I suspect most people have heard of the magical lamp that grants three wishes, and I’m certain that it would be at the top of most magical item lists – who wouldn’t want three wishes. But I’ve watched Aladdin enough times to know that what you wish for may not actually end up being what you meant, so my final enchanted object has to be Dragonballs. These also grant wishes, but you get exactly what you desire in exactly the way you want it. They also have the ability to bring people back from the dead, which I feel is definitely something I need to save for a rainy day because I don’t plan on losing any loved ones yet.

Five Characters I would name my kids after

I’m pretty sure most of us have a list of favourite names stored in the back of our heads, right? – A name you want to call your future child, your new pet, or even your World of Warcraft character.

I’m nowhere near wanting to have kids right now, but I must admit, I too have a little list of names locked away in my noggin – I kind of figure I need some spares, just in case I’m in need of a change of identity, or I decide to become a man.

Naturally, mine are all names borrowed from some of my favourite geeky characters. Here are a few of my favourites for boys and girls.

Boys

1. Emmett

Better known as Doctor Brown, from the Back to the Future trilogy. I love this name – it rolls off the tongue so nicely. Plus, it’s already so similar to my name – Emma.

2. Grayson

Dick Grayson was my favourite Robin in the Batman series. Dick is probably a little inappropriate a name in this day and age however.

3. Archimedes

This name is most associated with an incredibly famous Greek scientist/astronomer, but to me Archimedes is the Owl in The Sword in the Stone, and that’s why I love it.

Girls

1. Quinn

I love Harley Quinn, from the DC universe, but Harley sounds like such a masculine name to me. Quinn has a much nicer ring to it, even if I do associate it with Detective Quinn from Dexter – he’s a man.

2. Gwen

A name given to two favourite female characters of mine – Gwen Stacey from Marvels Spider-Man series, and Gwen (Guinevere) from the King Arthur/Merlin mythology.

3. Arwen

Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy is riddled with beautiful names, but Arwen is definitely one of my favourites. I like them short and sweet.

Bonus

4. Ripley

Special mention needs to go to the name Ripley. It’s my favourite unisex name.

Five Favourite Funko Collections

I post about Pop! Vinyls all the time because they’re ridiculously adorable and everybody loves them, but I’m sad to say that I actually only have one to my name – Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.

I could see myself spending a small fortune on a wall of Pop! Vinyls, but have decided to be sensible and keep well away from a potential Funko collecting addiction – for the time being.

That being said, there are a few fandom characters that I feel could only improve my existence if they were in vinyl form, but seen as there are currently no Scott Pilgrim or IT Crowd Pops available, these five collections will have to do as my favourites:

1. How to train you dragon
2015/02/img_1800-1.jpg
The storyline was great and the animation was incredible, but when they transformed toothless into Vinyl, they outdid themselves. The already cute dragon looks even more adorable in plastic. I would love a little collection of all of the HTTYD dragons – Toothless, Stormfly, Hookfang, Barf & Belch. I just hope they decide to make a Meatlug as well.

2. Beauty and the beast

2015/02/img_1797.jpg
I seem to gravitate towards the cutest Pop! Vinys, and in my opinion, that has to include the characters from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs Potts & Chip are hands down my favourite Disney Pops. There’s just something I love about inanimate objects with the smiliest of faces.

3. Supernatural

2015/02/img_1798.jpg
Supernatural is one of my favourite fandoms. I seem to have a better connection with Dean and Sam than any other character in a Television show. I think it’s because I’ve been with them from the very beginning. When I first saw their Pop! Vinyl faces, I had to stop myself from ordering them then and there. Then I saw a vinyl Castiel and went weak at the knees. As you can imagine, these guys are now a top priority.

4. Ghostbusters

2015/02/img_1799.jpg
The Ghostbusters Pop! Vinyls are hella cute, and pay a nice tribute to the late Harold Ramis.. but you would need all four of them to prevent them from looking disgustingly lonely and very un-ghostbustery like. Then Funko brought out a Pop! Vinyl version of the Ecto-1 – what are you doing to me guys!!!?? There goes the money I was going to spend on eating this month.

5. Rainbow Batman

2015/02/img_1801.jpg
I am a HUGE Batman fan. He is my favourite superhero / vigilante, next to Batgirl, so it’s only apt that I get my hands on a Batman Pop! Vinyl at some point. My only issue is.. Which one? There are so many versions available – Arkham Asylum, 1966, and if I didn’t already have enough trouble choosing, Funko have literally just released the Rainbow Batman Collection. Looks like I’m going to be getting six different coloured Batmen.
